Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Jimmy has cultivated a diverse and accomplished career spanning over three decades in investment management, leadership, and public service.
Jimmy began a career in the ocean shipping industry, spending seven years with Stevens Shipping & Terminal Company in Savannah and Wilmington. This experience was followed by three years in an executive role at Kerr Steamship in the iconic 2 World Trade Center in New York City.
Returning to Savannah, Jimmy transitioned into investment advising, working for a decade with JC Bradford & Co., where he built a reputation as a trusted financial advisor.
In 1998, Jimmy established his own independent investment advisory firm, which he successfully operated for 15 years.
Since retiring in 2013, Jimmy has dedicated his expertise to managing a family office, overseeing a foundation, and directing investments across public markets and private assets, including commercial real estate, rural land, timber, and mineral holdings.
With extensive experience in investment management, philanthropy, and public service, Jimmy is excited about the tremendous potential for oil and gas production in the State of South Dakota.
