Guy Goudy

Guy is an accomplished energy executive with over 15 years of proven leadership in board and executive roles across publicly listed energy companies in the U.S. and Australia.

As CEO of Austin Exploration, he spearheaded the company's transformation from a startup into a high growth, $100+ million Exploration & Production powerhouse, driving expansion into prolific regions such as the Eagle Ford, DJ Basin, and Illinois Basin.

Under his visionary leadership, the company achieved exponential growth, scaling from 3 to over 50 employees and earning the runner-up award for E&P Company of the Year in 2015.Subsequently, as Chairman of Fremont Petroleum Corporation, Guy was instrumental in advancing the company’s strategic assets within the DJ Basin, positioning it for long-term operational success. Currently, as Vice Chairman of Dakota Oil and Gas LLC, he is at the forefront of unlocking the untapped billion-barrel potential of South Dakota, focusing on driving innovation, preparing for a public offering, and establishing the company as a key industry player.

Originally from Sydney, Guy relocated to the U.S. in 2010 and has since earned a distinguished reputation for his entrepreneurial vision and business acumen. He holds multiple business qualifications from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and has advanced his expertise in Mineral Economics at the Colorado School of Mines.
